How do I troubleshoot issues with connecting to Exchange using Outlook Anywhere?

  1. Check your corporate policy regarding use of Outlook Anywhere.
  2. Ensure that Outlook Anywhere is enabled on the server and that the correct certificate has been assigned to the RPC virtual directory.
  3. Verify connectivity to the Exchange server by using the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration utility.
  4. Verify that the Autodiscover service is correctly configured. The Autodiscover service must be directed to the Exchange server.
  5. Check all firewall settings to ensure that Outlook Anywhere traffic is allowed.
  6. If a proxy server is configured, make sure that the Outlook Anywhere settings configure the proxy server.
