1. Check the modem power light or status light on the router. It should be lit.
2. Check the cables are properly connected to the modem and the wall.
3. Check the DSL or cable filter is correctly connected to the phone socket.
4. Look at the lights on the modem. The lights should be on.
5. Try resetting the modem by pressing the reset button.
6. Ensure that you are in the coverage area for the service you are using.
