How do I transfer the RID assignment role in Active Directory?

In order to transfer the RID assignment role in Active Directory, follow these steps:

Login to the server with the current RID master.
Launch the Active Directory Sites and Services.
Navigate to the Domain Controllers and locate the previous RID master.
Right click on the server and select Transfer RID Operation Master.
Select the Yes and then click OK when prompted.
Navigate to the Domain Controllers and locate the new RID master.
Right click on the server and select Seize RID Operation Master.
Select the Yes and then click OK when prompted.
The RID assignment role has been transferred successfully.
Reboot the previous RID master, so that the new RID master is recognized and the replication of security identifiers will not be interrupted.
