How do I solve common network connectivity issues?
- Check the basics
Check that cables are securely connected, and adjust the cables if necessary. Additionally, make sure that power is on for all the components i.e. router, switch, access point and adapter. - Scan for networks
Scan the local area and look for the available wireless networks. If you can't find the network you're trying to connect to, try restarting your router or access point. - Check your network adapter settings
Make sure your network adapter is configured correctly for your network. Check the adapter settings to make sure they match the settings of the router or access point you are trying to connect to. - Check the router settings
Make sure the router is turned on and configured correctly. Ensure that the wireless network isn't disabled, and that the SSID and encryption options match those of the network your trying to connect to.
