To resolve this issue, try the following:
- Configure Outlook to control how contacts are sorted by setting the
Sort by
option. - Set the alternate option of
Sort by display name
to ensure contacts are correctly sorted by last name. - If the issue persists, rebuild the Outlook contacts list by running a ‘Detect and Repair’ function.
- To do this, open Outlook and navigate to the
Help
tab and look forDetect and Repair.
- Finally, try restarting Outlook to resolve the issue.
