How do I resolve a DNS server error?


  1. Reconnect to your internet service provider – Unplug your modem, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  2. Check functionality of other connected devices -Check to see if any other devices on your home network, such as a laptop or phone, are able to access websites.
  3. Restart your router -Unplug your router, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  4. Check your DNS settings – open your router’s settings or admin panel to double check your DNS (Domain Name System) settings.
  5. Change DNS server – if the above steps do not work, try changing your DNS server settings.
