How do I recovery a lost or unsaved document on my PC?

  1. Check your computer’s ‘Recycle Bin’ first. Items deleted and stored here can be restored.
  2. Check your computer’s ‘Temporary File’ folder. Documents saved here will have a temporary filename. The File Properties will give you the original name.
  3. If auto-recover is set up, search for an ‘AutoRecovery’ folder. Auto-recovery will create temporary documents to ensure data isn’t lost in case of a system crash.
  4. We recommend running a ‘Deep File Scan’ to search your entire computer for any lost or unsaved documents.
