1. Choose a column break from the Insert tab in your document and select the desired location.
2. Using a keyboard shortcut such as Shift+Enter may also insert a column break in some document programs.
3. Determine the size and number of columns you would like to create.
4. Adjust the width and margins for each column as desired.
5. If using a word processor, you can also choose to center, left align, or right align your columns.
