How do I fix the problem of missing or lost email folders in my Outlook mailbox?

< 1 min read

It’s possible that your email folders are missing or lost due to a corrupted Outlook data file. To fix this problem, there are several steps that you can try:

  1. If your Outlook data file is corrupted, try to repair it using the ScanPST tool. To do so, open Windows Explorer and enter the file path to the file location. Then, look for the file with the .pst extension.

  2. If the repair attempt is unsuccessful, try creating a new Outlook profile to restore the missing folders.

  3. If you are able to access a backup of the Outlook data file, try importing the missing folders.

  4. Make sure that Outlook and Windows are up to date and all the latest Windows updates are installed.

  5. Check if you have a corrupted mailbox infrastructure.
