To fix OneNote not saving changes to a shared notebook or section:

1. Check sync status and connection

   1. Tap or click File > Info > View Sync Status.

   2. Check the connection status in the window.

   3. If your connection status is anything other than Connected, auto sync may be turned off.

   4. Tap or click Resume Syncing to turn it back on.


2. Check account settings

   1. Check that your account is listed under File > Account.

   2. If it isn't, sign in the account you used to create the notebook.

   3. If you're already signed into multiple accounts, try each one.


3. Check syncing in other Notebook programs

   1. Make sure the shared notebook is open in all programs you're using.

   2. Check that other people have permissions to view, edit, and sync the notebook.
