Let’s get started with some troubleshooting steps for your print spooler issue:
- Verify that the printer power cable is securely connected to the printer and a reliable power source.
- Run the Printer Troubleshooter. You can find it in the Control Panel.
- Delete any unused or stuck print jobs. Go to the Print Queue folder to view and delete them.
- Clear the spooler folder. By default, this is located in C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers and is a hidden folder. To access it, type in ‘%windir%\System32\spool\printers’ without the quotation marks.
- Restart the Print Spooler service from the Services tab in the Task Manager.
- Check the Printer Properties for any discrepancies.
