How do I fix a laptop with a damaged speaker?

< 1 min read

  1. Check if the audio drivers are up-to-date.
  2. Restart the device.
  3. Identify if the issue is caused by external hardware devices you have connected to your laptop.
  4. Check if the volume is on maximum or adjust the volume from the Sound Control Panel.
  5. Look for internal or external speaker issues caused by dirt, dust or other physical obstacles.
  6. Check if the speakers work from boot up.
  7. Generate a sound sample test from the Audio Control Panel.
  8. If none of these work take your laptop to a technician.
