- Connect your mouse to another port: If you're using a USB mouse, try connecting it to a different USB port.
- Try connecting another mouse: Connect an alternate mouse to see if it works. An external mouse should work even if the laptop's trackpad isn't working.
- Check Mouse Settings: Adjust mouse Pointer speed, Double-click speed and Click speed. Try setting the speed to its maximum.
- Update your laptop's drivers: Update your laptop's Mouse Drivers from the system manufacturer's website.
- Turn off your laptop and reconnect the mouse: Power off your laptop. Disconnect the mouse and reconnect. Power on your laptop and check if the mouse works.
- Check your laptop's touch settings: Disable the Touchpad from the Control Panel and check if the mouse works properly.
