- Create a cleaning solution with warm water and a few drops of dish detergent.
- Download and print a nozzle check pattern onto a piece of plain white paper.
- Check the nozzle check pattern to see if the lines in color printing are solid, spread, or broken
- If the nozzle check pattern is not satisfactory, create cleaning solution with isopropyl alcohol.
- Place some of the cleaning solution in a container that is disposable.
- Use a lint-free cloth dampened with the solution to clean the black and color ink cartridges.
- Turn off the printer and unplug the power source.
- Remove the printhead from the printer.
- Dip a lint-free cloth into the cleaning solution and apply the solution to the back of the printhead.
- Reinstall the printhead and reconnect the power source.
- Restart the printer and print a new nozzle check pattern.
- Continue with the cleaning process with the cleaning solution until the lines are solid on the nozzle check pattern.
