- Instructions:
- Turn the printer off. Unplug the power cord and remove any cables connected to it.
- Open the printer cover. If it has multiple doors, open them all.
- Look for the paper rollers. They’re usually the white, rubber rollers located inside the printer.
- Take a lint-free cloth and dampen it with a bit of warm water. You could also use a damp, anti static cloth or foam swab.
- Rub the moist cloth along the paper feed rollers. Make sure to wipe them in a circular motion.
- Turn the rollers with your fingers to make sure you reach all their parts.
- Once you’ve cleaned the rollers inside the printer, close the lid and plug in the power cable.
- Place a piece of paper in the tray and turn the power button back on.
- Print a test page. This will allow you to confirm that the paper feed rollers are now clean.
