How do I check for internet outages in my area?

  1. Check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to see if they are experiencing any service outages in your area.
  2. Use online outage tools from your service provider to determine if there are any local outages.
  3. Check your modem/router for any visible activity lights (LAN, Internet, etc.) to ensure they are on and producing a signal.
  4. If you are using a wireless connection, move closer to your wireless router/modem to ensure you are getting a stronger signal.
  5. Check if the recent storm or any other local weather events have caused any power outages that may have caused your Internet to go offline.
  6. Restart your modem/router, or even your computer, to see if that resolves the issue.
