How do I change the default sorting order for a SharePoint list or library?


  1. Open up the SharePoint list or library
  2. Select the Library tab, followed by Library Settings
  3. Scroll down and click on the Column ordering option
  4. Change the default columns to the columns you would like to appear at the top
  5. Click Ok to save the changes
