1. Open the spreadsheet
2. Select the range of cells you wish to analyze
3. On the Home tab, click AutoSum
4. Verify that the selected cells in the formula match the cells you wish to add
5. If not, delete the equation and start again with the correct range
6. Press enter to complete your calculation
