How can I use the FILTER, SORT, or UNIQUE function in Excel?

In order to use the FILTER, SORT, or UNIQUE functions in Excel, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Excel and select the desired data range.
  2. Click the Data tab on the ribbon at the top of the window.
  3. Choose from the Sort & Filter group:
    • Filter to organize data into groups.
    • Sort to reorganize data in ascending or descending order.
    • Unique to apply distinct filter on the selected data.
  4. Select the desired options and click OK.
