Protecting your personal information in public spaces is essential to keeping your private data secure.
- Refrain from entering bring financial or private information – When possible, avoid bringing any financial or other confidential information into a public restroom.
- Cover your PIN or Password – Whenever you enter or type in your PIN or password, cover your hand or finger with your other hand or something else to ensure that no one will be able to see it.
- Be mindful of those around you – Ensure that no strangers are able to see what information you are entering into a device or otherwise entering onto a document.
- Collect your belongings again – Retrieve all of your personal items, including your wallet, purse, device, etc., once you have finished using the restroom.
