Steps to help prevent Visual Hacking or Shoulder Surfing

1. Be aware of who is around you when you enter passwords or confidential information on your computer.
2. Move to a secure area if possible, or if using a laptop, put it in a backpack.
3. Position your screen, papers, and other confidential material so others can’t view them.
4. Cover your keyboard when entering confidential information.
5. If possible, use privacy screen protectors.
