< 1 min read

  1. Firstly, open your Registry Editor by typing regedit into the Windows search bar

  2. Secondly, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control. On this page you should see several folders such as Network, Session Manager, Services etc. Find the folder labeled Power and open it up

  3. Thirdly, within this folder, you should see a folder titled Policies which you should also open

  4. Fourthly, check for any existing settings in either the ActivePowerScheme and PowerSettingIndex folders

  5. Finally, edit any of these settings that are required to change the power-settings of your computer
