How can I enable access for a parent or guardian to view a student’s notebook on Microsoft Classroom?

< 1 min read

In order to enable access for a parent or guardian to view a student’s notebook on Microsoft Classroom, it’s recommended to follow the steps below:

  1. Enable accounts for the child and the parent or guardian. The child and the parent or guardian need to sign up for a Microsoft account. The child’s school may also need to provide the parent with login credentials.
  2. Check the student’s notebook in Classroom. Login to the student’s account and go to the student’s home page. Check the list of notebooks that are shown. It’s recommended to check all the notebooks in the list and see if they should be shared with the parent or guardian.
  3. Access the Classroom settings. Click the Settings button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. Enable student sharing. Click onStudent Sharing in the left-hand navigation panel, and then turn the Student Sharing switch toOn.
  5. Provide the parent’s email address. Give the parent’s email address in the Add Guardian box. Select the notebooks that you want the parent to access, and then click Invite.
