Why is my printer not responding to print commands from multiple devices?

  1. Check Printer Connection

    Ensure the printer is connected to your local network or to the device you’re attempting to print from.

  2. Ensure Printer Is On

    Check that the printer is powered on, that any error indicators are not illuminated, and that there are no error messages displayed on the printer.

  3. Check Printer Status & Preferences

    Verify that the printer is not in an error state, or paused, and check the printer preferences to make sure the correct device is selected as the output.

  4. Check The Driver & Software

    Ensure the correct printer driver is installed on the computers you are attempting to print from, and check for software updates.

  5. Hardware & Network Issues

    Inspect the physical interface cables connecting your printer to your local network or computer, and check whether any router or modem issues may be the cause.
