How do I fix a broken or clogged ink nozzle?

< 1 min read

  1. Shut down the printer andturn off the power.
  2. Inspect the printer head. If you can see dried ink on the print head nozzles that are clogged, try soaking the printer head in a cleaning solution of warm water and a few drops of dishwashing detergent.
  3. Use a Q-tip or other cotton swab to gently clean the nozzle. If the nozzle is broken, the head may need to be replaced.
  4. Check andclear the print head. Manually check the printer’s manual to find where the print head is located and how to open it.
  5. Fill a small container with isopropyl alcohol and warm water. Place the print head in the mixture and let it soak. Gently scrub the head with a small brush and replace the cleaning liquid every few hours.
  6. Test the new print head. After the cleaning process is complete, re-install the print head, restart the printer and run a test print to see if the nozzle is working properly.
