Why is my computer not recognizing my keyboard?
- Check your keyboard connection. Ensure that your keyboard is connected properly to your computer and that the connection is secure.
- Verify device drivers are installed. To do this, go to the Device Manager and look for HID Keyboard Device under Human Interface Devices.
- Test other keyboard on your system. Check to see if another keyboard works on your computer. If it does work, your keyboard may need to be replaced.
- Reboot your system. Shut down your computer and then restart it. Checking to see if the keyboard works after the reboot.
