Why is my computer not charging when plugged in?

< 1 min read

  1. Check your power supply

  2. Verify that the power adapter is firmly plugged into the outlet, and that the power supply is firmly connected to your computer.

  3. Review your power settings

  4. Check that your computer is set to charge the battery, and that it is not set to run solely on battery power.

  5. Inspect the charging port

  6. If the connections seem secure, ensure that the charging port is free of dust, debris, or any other obstruction.

  7. Replace the power adapter

  8. Try using a different power adapter as the one you’re currently using may not be working correctly.

  9. Verify the battery health

  10. Check that your battery is in good condition by verifying the level of charge. If the battery is too low, it cannot charge.
