- Check to see whether the laptop is connected to an external display.
- Check for the laptop being updated with system updates/drivers.
- Check to see if touch screen is toggled Off or On.
- Check to see if the laptop underwent physical damage.
- Check to see if laptop is being affected by any external hardware.
If connected to an external display, turn off external display and restart laptop to see whether the touch feature works.
Check laptop’s settings to make sure all updates are installed.
Check that touch screen feature is toggled on in settings of laptop.
If the laptop experienced physical damage, this could cause touch screen features to malfunction. If this were the case, the laptop would need to go to a professional technician for further investigation and repair.
Check if there is any interference with the laptop from external items such as USB devices, loose wires, external hard drive, etc.
