Here is a list of things to do to help diagnose why your internet connection is not working:


  1. Restart your router
  2. Check the cable connections inside your router
  3. Check the (Ethernet or Wireless) connection from your router to your computer
  4. Check your computer’s Network settings
  5. Release and renew your computer’s IP address
  6. Join a new wireless network or reset existing wireless connection
  7. Ping your router to verify connectivity
  8. Contact your ISP to make sure your internet service is functioning
  9. Check your router’s firmware is up-to-date
