1. Ensure that the network adapter Power Management settings are properly defined:
  a. Accessed via Device Maanger
  b. Open the network adapter and select Properties
  c. Select the Power Management tab
  d. Uncheck ‘Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power’
2. Try disconnecting/reconnecting the network adapter
3. Check any firewall settings that might be preventing access
4. Check the driver version for the network adapter and install any updated drivers
5. Disable/enable the network adapter from Device Manager
6. Check the hub/switch or router that the device is connected to
7. Restart the computer
