How do I set up a static IP address for my device on the network?

Check your current IP address:

  1. From the Windows Start menu, open the Settings app.
  2. Click Network & Internet.
  3. Click Wi-Fi or Ethernet (whichever is connected).
  4. Under Advanced Options, find the IP address listed.
Configure your device’s IP address:
  1. Open the Network Connections settings on your device.
  2. Go to Advanced > IP Settings.
  3. Switch from DHCP to Static.
  4. Note the address assigned by your network to your device and enter it as the Static IP address.
  5. Choose the subnet mask and default gateway address according to the IP Subnet Table.
  6. Click Save.
