To prevent your phone from auto-connecting to unfamiliar WiFi networks:

1. Go to Settings on your phone.
2. Tap Wi-Fi.
3. Tap the three vertical dots on the top right corner.
4. Tap Advanced.
5. Turn off the switch beside Auto-connect to open networks.
6. Tap the back arrow twice to get back to the Wi-Fi settings.
