1. Make sure the mouse is turned on and the batteries in the mouse are working.
2. Check the device manager to determine if the correct driver is installed.
3. Make sure all external plug-in devices are disconnected.
4. Check mouse settings: Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Mouse and make sure the touchpad is enabled.
5. Try a reboot: Sometimes simply restarting the laptop can solve your problem.
6. Update drivers: Check for an update to your touchpad driver.
7. Try a System Restore: If all of the above hasn’t worked, you may have to do a System Restore to dive back in time and fix the problem.
