Your laptop’s touchpad may not be responding to gestures due to the following:

1. Check and make sure your touchpad settings are enabled by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Control Panel

2. Try calibrating your touchpad by going to the Control Panel, clicking Devices and Printers, and selecting Mouse.

3. If all else fails, try reinstalling the appropriate driver for your laptop’s touchpad.
