Why is my laptop not connecting to the internet?

  1. Check Power Source and Cables
    Ensure your laptop is connected to an active power source and that Ethernet or wifi cable is attached securely.
  2. Troubleshoot Network Connection
    On Windows 10, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status and select Troubleshoot to diagnose and repair your network problems.
  3. Confirm your router is working
    Check to see that the internet connection in other devices are working, or use another device to run a speed test. Also, ensure your router is turned on.
  4. Reset the Network Settings
    If other devices are working but your laptop still isn’t connecting to the internet, try resetting the Network Settings.
