To disable automatic updates for your operating system on your laptop:

1. Open the Settings window
2. Go to ”Network & Internet”
3. Navigate to ”Update & Security”
4. Open the ”Windows Update” page
5. Find the ”Advanced options” link and click it
6. Change the drop-down menu from automatic to manual
