< 1 min read

Eavesdropping is when a person intercepts, overhears or listens to private conversations without authorization. To properly prevent eavesdropping on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Keep Your Device Updated:

Ensure that you have the most recent security updates installed on your device.

  2. Secure Your Home Wi-Fi Network:

Utilize strong passwords on your wireless network and monitor who has access to it.

  3. Use Antivirus Protection:

Install and regularly use up-to-date antivirus software to detect any malicious attacks.

  4. Make Sure Your Router is Extra Secure:

Change the default router password and access codes for protection from attackers.

  5. Be Careful of What Data You Send:

Avoid sending sensitive information over public Wi-Fi networks.

  6. Turn Security Features On:

Enable real-time malware protection, a firewall, and/or two-factor authentication on your device.
