Why is my document not showing the correct page numbering starting at a specific page?

1. Check to make sure page numbers have been added to the document
2. If page numbers have been added, check to make sure they appear on the correct page and the page numbers are formatting correctly
3. If page numbers appear correctly, check to make sure that the correct page number appears on the first page
4. If the correct page numbers are still not displaying, check to make sure page numbers were added to the closest header or footer
