Why am I not able to see a shared screen in a private chat on Teams?

  1. Step 1: Check that your audio is working correctly by clicking the audio icon and seeing if the microphone and speaker bars active.

  2. Step 2: Verify that you have device settings enabled for the correct sound device.

  3. Step 3: Check if you have Background Bluring or flashy effects enabled, and if so disable it.

  4. Step 4: Verify that you are not on the phone.

  5. Step 5: If the problem persists ask the other participant to close/reopen the meeting window, which can help.
