Why are my site workflows not triggering in SharePoint?

1. Verify that the workflow is published.
2. Set up an appropriate triggering event, or change how and when the workflow is started.
3. Ensure that the workflow is configured properly to use the right list or library when it starts.
4. Check that the workflow actions have the right settings to interact with other parts of the site.
5. Verify that the Start Options for workflow are set correctly.
6. Check that the users' permissions are set properly for thesharepoint localsite issuing the workflow.
