Why is my printer not recognizing the new drum cartridge?

  1. Check that the cartridge is the correct size for your printer.
  2. Check to make sure the black ink tab is still attached to the cartridge.
  3. Check that the toner cartridge is properly inserted and locked into the printer.
  4. Reset the drum counter on the printer.
  5. Clean the electrical contacts on the printer and the toner cartridge.
  6. Reinstall the toner cartridge.
