When OneNote isn’t recognizing notes from a scanned document, consider the following steps:
- Check that the scanner settings are set to a high enough resolution and the document is scanned as a PDF document.
- Ensure that the document is uploaded in OneNote.
- Try re-scanning the document and uploading again to OneNote.
- If possible re-arrange the document to use more relevant text formatting, such as using an important word as the headers, paragraphs, or sections.
