Why is OneNote not recognizing and converting my handwritten equations?

  1. Make sure you have a supported device and updated version of OneNote.
  2. Calibrate your pen so your handwriting is accurate.
  3. Try simplifying your handwriting as much as possible.
  4. Ensure you are using slanted lines when writing equations.
  5. Experiment with the options in the Draw tab of the ribbon.
  6. Redraw the equation in a different location.
  7. Make sure your equation is drawn on a page.
