Before troubleshooting, check to make sure that your OneNote version is up-to-date.

1. Ensure the current version of OneNote is installed.
2. Check accessibility settings.
3. Overwrite the original template by selecting File > Options > Advanced > Copy Templates.
4. Restart your computer.

If the issue persists, try performing a clean reinstall of OneNote.
