Why is OneDrive not syncing all files or folders on a shared drive or network location?

  1. Check that all the devices have enough storage space on the location
  2. Make certain all the users have the appropriate permissions to the shared folder.
  3. Temporarily disable any other backup program or file synchronization tool running on your device, such as macOS Time Machine, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.
  4. Ensure that the folder doesn’t include any system files, such as OneDrive Desktop.ini, Thumbs.db, .DS_Store that need to be excluded.
  5. Manually remove any files from the local folder that might conflict with those in the cloud.
  6. Confirm that OneDrive is configured to sync the shared folder.
  7. Check the OneDrive activity center and review any error messages.
