In order to find out why OneDrive is displaying duplicate versions of the same file:
- Check if you are signed in to a different Microsoft account or cloud services
- Understand the differences between file versions and if changes were made to the original file
- Check computer's file synchronisation settings of OneDrive to see if multiple copies are being stored locally
- Examine the OneDrive folder location of the file and investigate if the file has been saved or moved multiple times
