- Check outlets and cabling: Verify whether power is available to the modem and router either through a connected power cable or battery backup. If the modem or router has a power switch, verify that the switch is turned ON (or is in the right position).
- Verify cable connection: Make sure that all cables are securely connected to the back of the router and modem. Repair or replace any damaged cables.
- Restart your router and modem: Try turning off your modem or router for 1-2 minutes to see if it can reset itself. Wait a few moments before turning the device back on.
- Check any changes in your ISP settings: If you recently changed your service provider, check the username and password for the new provider and enter them into the modem to connect to the internet.
