Follow these steps to mute or turn off student microphones on Microsoft Classroom:

1. Click on the ellipsis (3 dots) in the top right corner of the classroom window.
2. Next choose Class Settings from the list of options.
3. Beneath the Audio heading, check the box marked Mute all student audio.
4. Click on the Save button.
