To transfer the domain wide FSMO role in Active Directory, follow these steps:

1. Use the Active Directory Domains and Trusts snap-in tool.
2. Open the Advanced Features in the menu.
3. Right-click the domain and select Operations Masters.
4. On the Change Operations Master screen, click the Change button.
5. Select the new server that will own the role.
6. Click OK to confirm the transfer of the role.
